[Life Intended] Two questions I ask myself before saying Yes.

Hi Reader,

So many of us spend years looking outside ourselves for the next right move. We hire experts, read books, scroll through advice, hoping someone else will hand us the answer.

Here’s the shift we’re inviting you to make: leading yourself starts when you stop outsourcing your power.

You can lean on resources and wisdom while still remembering that you get the final say.

Reflection, tools, and community are here to bring you back to what you already know, not to shape you into someone else. They should help you trust yourself instead of prescribing who you should be.

Here’s a quick practice we use ourselves, and you can too, the next time you’re looking for answers outside of yourself.

The Self-Trust Pause:
Next time you’re about to say yes to something, or spiral into overthinking, pause and ask:

  1. Am I choosing this from self-trust, or from fear/approval-seeking?
  2. Will this action give me energy or drain it?

If the answers don't feel good in your body, that’s your wisdom talking.

Trust it.

This is the heart of self-leadership - creating enough space to listen, and enough courage to move from alignment instead of autopilot.

If you’re ready to practice this in community, Awaken is for you. Over six weeks we guide you through awareness, self-trust, boundaries, and alignment so you can bridge the gap between the life you’ve built and the one you actually want.

You don’t have to keep figuring this out alone. Awaken gives you space, tools, and a circle of women walking the same path.

With clarity and courage,

xo,
Kelly & Sadie

P.S. Join us this Friday at 11 AM ET for our Friday Reset. This monthly session is a live opportunity to practice this work: one hour to slow down, reflect, and put self-leadership into practice together.

Hi Reader, From KellySadie wrote something new yesterday and I absolutely love her framing. Sharing it here because so many of us are in a “something’s changing” season. From SadieThresholds are the moments in life when you feel the ground moving under your feet. You’re not fully where you were, and not quite where you’re going. Maybe you recognize yourself here: You’re leading at work and feel the weight of expectations from every direction. You’re returning after maternity leave or another...

Hi Reader, Have you ever felt: "I want two things at once, and I feel guilty or confused no matter what I choose.” I want to work, and I want more time with my kids.I want to be needed and I want freedom.I want to reach my full potential and I want to rest. It feels like contradiction. But what if it’s actually your inner voice, knocking at the door? The way we’ve been taught to live is cracking. Burnout rates are at record highs, technology is accelerating at inhuman speeds, and many of us...

Hi Reader, If you feel like your calendar is running your life instead of you, you’re not alone. So many of the women we work with say the same thing: they’re accomplished, they’re holding it all together…AND...they’re exhausted. The good news? Regaining a sense of control doesn’t mean overhauling your entire life or burning it all down to start over. You can start with just a few small, but intentional shifts. Here are four that came up in this week’s podcast conversation with Human...
