[Life Intended] Before you push forward, read this.

Hi Reader,

The clocks have changed. The days are stretching longer. Spring is just around the corner.

This time of year always feels like an exciting shift. There's more sunlight, the air smells brighter and the world is stretching towards the sun. Nature is waking up.

These changes that have become so familiar to us over our lives are a reminder that growth is natural, but also that it happens in seasons.

And just because the earth is moving into spring doesn’t mean we all feel like we’re in a season of blooming.

  • Maybe you're feeling energized right now, full of momentum and ready for growth.
  • Maybe you still feel like it's winter and you need more rest, some reflection, or maybe even some closure before stepping forward.
  • Maybe you’re somewhere in between, unsure of what’s next and feeling a little stuck

The truth is, we don’t always choose the season we’re in.

Sometimes life puts us in a phase of waiting when we’d rather be moving. Or calls us to take action when we’d rather retreat.

And yet, we often expect ourselves to be in a constant state of productivity, growth, and movement no matter what season we’re truly in.

What if, instead of resisting this seasonal reality, we embraced it?

🌱 Some seasons are for planting: dreaming, setting intentions, and preparing for what’s next.
🌿 Some seasons are for growing: taking action, making bold moves, and pushing forward.
🍂 Some seasons are for shedding: letting go, slowing down, and clearing space.
❄️ Some seasons are for rest: pausing, reflecting, recovering and gathering strength.

Each one serves a purpose. Each one matters.

If you’ve been feeling frustrated, stuck, or like you should be further along, ask yourself:

  • What season am I truly in right now?
  • Am I giving myself permission to be here?
  • What can I learn before moving forward?

Nature doesn’t rush its process. Trees don’t force themselves to bloom before they’re ready. And yet, we often expect ourselves to be in constant motion, always growing, always doing.

But real growth happens in all seasons. Even in the stillness, change is unfolding beneath the surface.

So this week, instead of pushing yourself to be somewhere else, honor the season you’re in. Trust that it’s shaping you in ways you may not fully see yet.

Hi Reader, From KellySadie wrote something new yesterday and I absolutely love her framing. Sharing it here because so many of us are in a “something’s changing” season. From SadieThresholds are the moments in life when you feel the ground moving under your feet. You’re not fully where you were, and not quite where you’re going. Maybe you recognize yourself here: You’re leading at work and feel the weight of expectations from every direction. You’re returning after maternity leave or another...

Life Intended podcast with host Kelly Berry and guest Julia Arpag

Hi Reader, So many of us spend years looking outside ourselves for the next right move. We hire experts, read books, scroll through advice, hoping someone else will hand us the answer. Here’s the shift we’re inviting you to make: leading yourself starts when you stop outsourcing your power. You can lean on resources and wisdom while still remembering that you get the final say. Reflection, tools, and community are here to bring you back to what you already know, not to shape you into someone...

Sadie Wackett, Executive Coach, Facilitator and Chief People Officer looking over her shoulder

Hi Reader, Have you ever felt: "I want two things at once, and I feel guilty or confused no matter what I choose.” I want to work, and I want more time with my kids.I want to be needed and I want freedom.I want to reach my full potential and I want to rest. It feels like contradiction. But what if it’s actually your inner voice, knocking at the door? The way we’ve been taught to live is cracking. Burnout rates are at record highs, technology is accelerating at inhuman speeds, and many of us...
