Hi Reader,
If you feel like your calendar is running your life instead of you, you’re not alone.
So many of the women we work with say the same thing: they’re accomplished, they’re holding it all together…AND...they’re exhausted.
The good news? Regaining a sense of control doesn’t mean overhauling your entire life or burning it all down to start over. You can start with just a few small, but intentional shifts.
Here are four that came up in this week’s podcast conversation with Human Performance expert Dr. Lauren Hodges:
- Calendar tweaks that protect your energy
Instead of filling every single time slot, look for where you can reclaim just ten minutes. Try booking your meetings for 50 minutes instead of an hour, or block your calendar for fifteen minutes before a team meeting to regroup and show up how you want to be. That 10-15 minute buffer makes a bigger impact than you think!
- Prioritize movement
Not because you “should,” but because even a short walk or stretch changes your brain chemistry and your outlook. If the gym feels impossible, start with a ten-minute walk after lunch. This can be a tough one when your schedule is packed but the benefits really deliver.
- Protect your sleep
High performers often sacrifice sleep first, but it’s the foundation for clarity, confidence, and emotional regulation. If you do one thing differently this week, choose one night to protect a full, uninterrupted night of rest.
- Track, don’t guess
Track your sleep, your stress, or your movement for a week. You’ll see where small changes can give you the biggest return. You don't get more energy or higher performance simply from trying harder but noticing patterns can give you the information you need to make the changes that make a difference for YOU.
If you want to explore this more deeply, join us later today (Noon ET to be exact:)) for From Hustle to Wholeness. We’ll step back together and look at what you actually want beneath the noise, and how small shifts like these can move you toward it.

You don’t need to wait for the perfect season to feel more "in control". Small shifts count, especially when life is full.
