[Life Intended] When “I’m fine” isn’t fine at all

Hey Reader,

Do you ever find yourself losing it over something small, then wondering, “Uhhhh, what just happened?”

Sadie and I have both been there. That’s actually how this week’s conversation started on the podcast: with a story about sunglasses, a slammed door, and very big feelings that didn’t make sense…until they did.

Here’s what we’ve both learned on our journeys (the hard way): Most of us were never taught how to really feel our emotions, let alone understand them.

We’re taught to push through, stay positive and hold it together. But that doesn’t make the feelings go away. It just makes them louder…and sneakier.

This week on Life Intended, we’re talking about emotional intelligence. Sadie and I discuss what the buzz phrase "emotional intelligence" looks like in real life (not just in books), how to notice what your reactions are really telling you, and why your emotions aren’t the problem…they’re the signal.

We think emotions can be used as a tool FOR us, even though most of us have been taught that they were something we need to shut down or ignore.
