[Life Intended] No one Is coming to tell you what to do

Hi Reader,

Most people are waiting.

Waiting for clarity.
Waiting for the right time.
Waiting for someone else to make the call.

But here’s the truth: No one is coming to tell you what to do next.

And that’s the best news you’ll hear all day.

One thing you're going to hear me start to talk about a lot more is self-leadership.

What is self-leadership and why does it matter? Let me tell you.

Self-leadership is about choice.

It’s realizing that no one is going to come save you, give you "permission", hand you a map, or guarantee that your next step is the right one.

Self-leadership is deciding to move first. Even before you feel ready, before you have all the answers, before someone else tells you it’s a good idea.

Most women have been conditioned to follow. To keep the peace. To meet expectations. To put their heads down and just keep going.

But waiting is a trap.

At some point, you have to decide that the only person you’re following is yourself.

I want to ask you a really important question: Where have YOU given up the lead in your life?

Ask yourself:
➡ Where am I waiting when I should be deciding?
➡ What am I avoiding because I don’t have certainty yet?
➡ Who am I letting take the lead in my life, my choices, or my time?

Your next move is yours to make. Here’s how to step back into being the leader of your life today:

  1. Make One Unapologetic Decision
Not a passive choice. Not a reaction to someone else. An intentional, deliberate move that puts you back in the driver’s seat in some area of your life, no matter how small.
  2. Stop Waiting for Certainty. Take Action Anyway.
Confidence comes from doing, not waiting. If you feel uncertain about the outcome, trust yourself that you can handle it no matter what it is.
  3. Keep Leading, Even When It’s Uncomfortable
Self-leadership isn’t about making one bold move. It’s about choosing again and again to trust yourself over the noise, the doubt, and the fear of getting it wrong.

Because the truth is, you’re not stuck. You’re just waiting.

And today, you get to decide.

Your life will change the moment you realize you are the one leading it.

What’s one move you’re making today to take the lead in your own life? Hit reply and let me know—I’d love to hear.

If you’re ready to go deeper into self-leadership, stay tuned. Big things are coming. You can learn to make these choices, to shift your patterns and to live a life that feels good. We will guide you along the way.

Life Intended host Kelly Berry and Thetasomatics founder Isabella Mainwaring discuss her new book The Power We Hold

Hi Reader, From KellySadie wrote something new yesterday and I absolutely love her framing. Sharing it here because so many of us are in a “something’s changing” season. From SadieThresholds are the moments in life when you feel the ground moving under your feet. You’re not fully where you were, and not quite where you’re going. Maybe you recognize yourself here: You’re leading at work and feel the weight of expectations from every direction. You’re returning after maternity leave or another...

Life Intended podcast with host Kelly Berry and guest Julia Arpag

Hi Reader, So many of us spend years looking outside ourselves for the next right move. We hire experts, read books, scroll through advice, hoping someone else will hand us the answer. Here’s the shift we’re inviting you to make: leading yourself starts when you stop outsourcing your power. You can lean on resources and wisdom while still remembering that you get the final say. Reflection, tools, and community are here to bring you back to what you already know, not to shape you into someone...

Sadie Wackett, Executive Coach, Facilitator and Chief People Officer looking over her shoulder

Hi Reader, Have you ever felt: "I want two things at once, and I feel guilty or confused no matter what I choose.” I want to work, and I want more time with my kids.I want to be needed and I want freedom.I want to reach my full potential and I want to rest. It feels like contradiction. But what if it’s actually your inner voice, knocking at the door? The way we’ve been taught to live is cracking. Burnout rates are at record highs, technology is accelerating at inhuman speeds, and many of us...
